Good News about Perkins Funding !

There is finally some good news about the status of Perkins funding and tech prep legislation. A subcommittee in the house has recommended full funding of Perkins legislation for 2004! This recommendation will be made to the full committee and then will have to pass in the senate as well. The President will then have to sign the bill.

As you can see, this is some positive news but there are still many hurdles that could derail this funding bill. That means we must keep up the pressure with our local legislators if we hope to continue to benefit from these funds.

preformatted letter (or write your own). The one titled President FY04 Budget Proposal, a threat to Perkins  is the one we want. Send it to all your representatives and President Bush.
