Recruit One
We need your help with the
technology ed teacher shortage

Much is being said about the shortage of Technology Education teachers in Virginia and across the Country. If every Technology Education teacher in Virginia would recruit one (1) student per year to major in Technology Education, in just four years Virginia would not have a Technology Education teacher shortage.

We have 1100 Technology Education teachers in Virginia. Over 400 hundred of them are on this LISTserv (and that number will continue to grow). Each of you have 75-100 students per year.  Don't you see the potential of one (1) of those students per year to become a Technology Education teacher?

We must solve our own problem. No one else is going to solve it for us. Lets move to action!!!

We have five (5) universities in Virginia that prepare Technology Education teachers. Please check out their web sites and begin to encourage one or more of your students to pursue a Technology Education degree at a Virginia university.

We can see the end! We can solve the problem! Lets do it!

The five Virginia Universities that train technology educators are:

Old Dominion University

James Madison University

Norfolk State University

Virginia State University

Virginia Tech
