05/13/2012 - The VTEEA Board of Directors and two of it's committees (Electronic Communications and Marketing) met as a committee of the whole on Saturday May 12th at the site of the upcoming Summer Conference, Frederick County. A summary of the major work accomplished includes: finalized the 2012-2015 Strategic Plan and 2012-2013 Annual Budget; selected an email marketing software tool to enhance membership communications; revised the Board of Directors Manual; showcased the "Members Only" section of the VTEEA Web site; and received a report for Hampton City to be the site for 2013 Summer Conference.

03/19/2012 - Virginan's recognized at the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association Conference, Long Beach, CA, for exceptional leadership, teaching and program design. Pictured below are the Elementary School Program of the Year recipients, Claudia Ketcham, Karen Rawlyk, and Meg Zehmer (Henrico County); Program Specialist for Technology Education, Dr. Lynn Basham (VDOE); Middle School Program of the Year recipient, Robert D'Souza, (Fairfax County); and Outstanding International/Local Supervisor of the Year, Tony Casipit, (Fairfax County).
